What is Neurology?

At MNRS we provide neurology. Neurology is the medical specialty that studies the structure, functions, and abnormalities of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. The neurologist has a key role in the evaluation and management of patients with conditions and trauma associated with the head, spine, and nerves. The neurologist uses numerous techniques to evaluate the extent of neurological damage and curate the appropriate medical, pharmacological, and rehabilitation management plan.

Your neurological evaluation is conducted in a private examination room. The neurologist examines all aspects of your nervous system via MRIs, CAT SCAN, X-rays, NCV, and EMG. After compiling the results of these tests, the neurologist consults with other members of the rehabilitation team, including the physical therapists, to curate your individualized treatment plan. The goal is to alleviate your symptoms and restore normal functionality.

Symptoms Indicating You Need a Neurologist…

  • Frequent headaches and migraines
  • Dizziness and imbalance problems
  • Memory disturbances
  • Difficulty while walking and standing
  • Numbness and tingling sensations
  • Neck and/or lower back pain
  • Weakness in the arms and legs
